Important Information Regarding Windows 10 Discontinuation

Microsoft has announced that Windows 10 support will end on October 14, 2025. This means:

  • No more security updates: Your Windows 10 device will become increasingly vulnerable to cyber threats.
  • Reduced compatibility:
    • Newer devices may not be compatible with Windows 10.
    • Drivers for graphics cards (like Nvidia) will no longer be updated.
    • Printers, web browsers, and antivirus software may stop supporting Windows 10.

What will happen after October 14, 2025?

  • Short-term: Most applications will likely continue to function on Windows 10 for some time (potentially 2-3 years).
  • Long-term: Compatibility issues will gradually increase as software and hardware manufacturers cease support.

Upgrading to Windows 11:

  • While many Windows 10 devices can upgrade to Windows 11, not all are compatible.
  • Older hardware may have limitations that prevent a successful upgrade, even if the minimum requirements are met.
  • Replacing the motherboard is often not a viable solution due to hardware incompatibility.

Our Approach:

We will assess each device individually to determine the best course of action.

  • Windows 11 Upgrade: For compatible devices, we will offer Windows 11 upgrades with a standard labour fee.
  • Alternative Solutions: We will explore alternative solutions for devices that cannot upgrade to Windows 11, such as:
    • Continued Support (where possible): We will strive to provide continued support for critical functions.
    • Replacement Options: We will discuss replacement options, considering factors like budget and usage needs.

We understand that this transition may require adjustments. We are committed to assisting you in making informed decisions and ensuring a smooth transition to the best possible solution for your individual needs.
